Great news! Howling at the Moon has gone to a second printing... before even hitting the stores! And Karen's thrilled with the rave reviews reluctant werewolf Sophie Garou has been garnering from Romantic Times Magazine, Reader to Reader, and even some of her favorite authors. Here's a sampling of what readers are saying about Howling at the Moon:

“If you are a fan of Kelley Armstrong, Cheyenne McCray, or Kim Harrison then you will definitely want to check out Karen MacInerney’s Howling at the Moon: Tales of an Urban Werewolf, it is to die for!” — Coffee Time Romance

“…you’ll have the reading time of your life with talented author Karen MacInerney… When you finish this tale, your face will wear a permanent grin and your fangs will be showing." — ReaderToReader.com

"This hilarious werewolf tale will keep you laughing — and begging for more!" — Fresh Fiction

Howling at the Moon is scheduled to hit bookshelves February 26; On the Prowl, the second installment in the Tales trilogy, will be available in November. To read more reviews — and find out about the new Tales of an Urban Werewolf trilogy — click here. Feel free to drop by and visit Karen's MySpace page... and Sophie's!

In other news, Karen has recently learned that Canadian rights to Murder on the Rocks and Dead and Berried have been sold, and the books will be translated into French! Currently, both Gray Whale Inn books and Beads of Doubt, which Karen co-authored with Barbara Burnett Smith, are available in large print.

As many of you know, Murder on the Rocks netted an Agatha nomination for Best First Novel in 2007; Karen is hard at work on the third book in the series, Murder Most Maine, and will update everyone as soon as she knows when it will be available. Thank you all for your patience!

In the meantime, if you'd like to find out more about Karen or the Gray Whale Inn feel free to check out these interviews by the Austin American Statesman, the Westlake Picayune, and the Daily Texan. A short story featuring Natalie appeared in Portland Magazine, and Karen was also featured in Port City Life. If you're interested in attending one of Karen's writing classes, she'll be teaching at UT Informal Classes in March.

Although much of Karen's blog-posting has given way to novel-writing, she does occasionally drop in... and she posts every Thursday on Cozy Chicks. If you haven't already, stop by and visit and sign up for your chance to win a bagful of Cozy Chicks books.

If you'd like to win an autographed copy of Howling at the Moon and a deck of Carmen's favorite Tarot cards, check out the Contests page!
